Happy Christmas to you all

We would like to wish all of our children, their families and the wider school community a wonderful Christmas and a very Happy New Year.

It has been such a busy but exciting time in school!  We started the season by taking delivery of a beautiful Christmas tree donated by Haddon Hall - thank you so much to the Haddon Estate for this, which has adorned the Library throughout December, and lit up the playground for Carols in the Community.

The Christmas choir has been in action, led by Mrs Hodgson, singing at Peak Village, the Tuesday Community Hub, and at the Christingle Service at St Katherine's Church.  We have received some lovely feedback from the community, which the children appreciate very much.  Thank you to everyone who came to support the choir, and who attended the Christingle service.  It is a very special occasion in our festive calendar, and money was raised for the Christian Aid Christingle appeal.

The infant class shone in their Nativity play, the Hoity Toity Angel, and the whole school visited Buxton Opera House to see this year's pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk.

We have also enjoyed Christmas Jumper Day, Christmas dinner, class parties, snuggling up with pyjamas and hot chocolate to listen to stories, and a games afternoon led by our wonderful PTFA.

Finally the last day of term is upon us, and we are anticipating a visit from the special man himself, before heading home to spend Christmas with our families.

We look forward to seeing everyone back on 6th January, and to hearing all about your Christmas holidays.

Merry Christmas!
