The Sun Has Got His Hat On...

Reception have been learning their CVC and CCVC words. We made a tuff tray where the children chose a word that they wanted to build, they found the correct letter biscuits and they ate their word when they had put the word together!

Spring half term introduces the children to fairy tales such as 'The Three Billy Goats Gruff. How much fun does this tuff tray look? This helps the children really embed and know the story through role play.

At Christmas we set up this amazing tuff tray for our children to explore subitising.

Look at these wonderful hibernating hedgehogs!
We explored hedgehog habitats and how they hibernate during colder months. We used clay to create a hedgehog and made them a nice warm home for them to hibernate.

“I’ll huff and I’ll puff and I’ll blow your house down!”

This activity helped children build a house for the Three Little Pigs using different materials. We used word cards to help the children read and use the language within the story.

Here, we are practicing our cutting skills!

Our cohort of children this year LOVE Super Mario. We have made a game to interest the children in practising their phonics. The children love it! We even have a Super Mario sound card on our Yoto player!

Gingerbread Maths! In this activity, the children are encouraged to match the numicon to the correct gingerbread man.

Can you stir the witches potion and find the letters for your tricky words?

Run, run as fast as you can!
