Below, are the spelling lists for Group 1 and Group 2 (your child will know which group they are in). We have a spelling test every Wednesday morning.

We ask that spellings are practised alongside reading, which is expected 5 times a week. Group 1 spellings coincide with Little Wandle Phonics and therefore, the words that the children are expected to learn include the sounds that we have covered in Phonics during the week. The Group 2 spellings are chosen based on a spelling rule. This rule is stated at the top of the list.
